DIY: Lavender Dish Washing Liquid

Clean well!

By now you probably know I am all about D.I.Y. As a creative person it is empowering and over time living on a budget can allow for those dream vacations to finally manifest. So to help you arrive on that sunny distant shore in good health and with ease I though I’d share this simple lavender dish washing liquid recipe with you.

Here is what you will need:
3 Tablespoons Lavender Castile Soap
2 Tablespoons White Vinegar
2 teaspoons vegetable glycerin
2 Cups warm water
10 drops Lavender essential oil

Simply combine all ingredients in a jar and give a gentle shake.

I then put mine in a nice glass jar with a pump for easy use.

Did you know lavender oil has antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties? Happy cleaning!

Barrels of Fun!

Creative Garden Watering

Rain Barrels are a great way to go even more green with your garden. I love them and think everyone with a garden should have one. They capture rain fall and allow you to water your plants as needed without costing you a penny. I know my plants look happier and grow more after the rain vs. when I water them with tap water from a hose. That being said rain barrels are easy to make or purchase and fun to decorate with your family, and add a special personalized touch to your home and garden. To get your minds wheels turning here are a few rain barrels I have found that are simple, effective, and look great.

Here is an in-depth “how to” on making your own rain barrel.

Aloha.

Never heard of a blog hop?  Me either!

A blog hop is an event where you can hop from blog to blog and register on each blog for different prize giveaways.  In addition to giveaways on each blog many times there is a grand prize giveaway secured by the event hosts.

Check out the Christmas in July Blog Hop page. Maggie Bags is thrilled to be the Grand Prize sponsor.  The Maggie Bags prize pack is worth over $600!

A big thanks to the event hosts Married with Coupons, Matter of Cents and Sweep Tight. They were a great team to work with on getting the Grand Prize details worked out.

Visit any of the event hosts to enter the grand prize giveaway.

Good luck and happy hopping!

Maggie Bags Review by Cindy

Here is a great review from a Cindy T. a YouTube fashion blogger who asked to review some of our products.  Cindy also made the DIY denim bracelet video a couple of weeks ago.  You can view this video on TheMaggieBags YouTube channel.

CORRECTIONS on the video:

  1. She mentioned me (Kerri) as the owner of Maggie Bags.  This is incorrect.  I am the Senior Director of Marketing but do not own the company.
  2. All seat belt webbing used in Maggie Bags production is new webbing that has been rejected by auto manufacturers. No webbing used has ever been in a vehicle.

Enjoy!
